Keenan Recycling

Formed in 2003 Keenan Recycling Ltd has rapidly grown to become the leading composting operation in the North East of Scotland. Servicing Local Authorities and the private sector with food waste collection.

Based upon a nine acre facility in New Deer that has the capacity to recycle in excess of 70,000 tonnes of organic material per annum. Taylor contacted Managing Director Grant Keenan with a range of bins suitable for food collection.Grant opted for the Continentalâ„¢ 500L container for larger customers and a 120L two wheeled bin for smaller establishments via rental.

The Taylor rental scheme allowed Keenan to build a fleet of containers without large initial cash outlay and add to the fleet as new customers came on board allowing the company to serve the over 50 businesses currently using the service ranging from oil companies to shopping centres and universities.

With the food waste collection service launched in July 2010 by the Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond Keenan Recycling are now able to provide new clients the highest quality containers without affecting their current operation.

Keenan now have a fleet of over 90 500L containers from Taylor and are continuing to add to their fleet as new customers come on-board and are looking to work with firms in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, including large oil companies, waste management companies, hotels, colleges and shopping centres.
