New MkIII is business as usual for Colchester Skip Hire

Taylor has recently updated its flagship Continental 1100L waste container, the industry leading range of metal waste containers. Using a hot-dip galvanised steel frame, patented integral tubular top frame and over-specified castors, the containers have immense rigidity and durability; building on the proven reputation for quality that the previous models enjoyed. Colchester Skip Hire was one of the first customers to take delivery of the new containers, having developed a long-term relationship with Taylor it was an easy decision to make.

Since it first began operating in 1981, Colchester Skip Hire has supplied total waste management packages to its customers, including the industrial and commercial sectors. The company operates a fleet of 20 vehicles that allows it to collect over 50,000 tonnes of waste and recycling per annum, from the wheeled containers that it hires out to customers. The package includes the maintenance of the onsite containers, ensuring that customers need not worry about the safety or logistics of its waste disposal.

Colchester Skip Hire first started its wheeled bin services ten years ago. It made the decision to use metal bins rather than cheaper, plastic containers, as they are longer lasting, provide a higher degree of operator safety and can be easily maintained to preserve an aesthetic and professional finish with customised branding easily available. Having researched the market it was clear that Taylor was the industry leader for wheeled metal waste containers so Colchester Skip Hire approached the company to enquire about services.

Mark Slade, Director of Colchester Skip Hire, comments: "From our first meeting with the Taylor sales team, they bent over backwards to help us start up the service and then maintain it to the highest level. Every bin we have ever ordered has been delivered promptly and been accompanied with gold standard customer service."

"We have tried other bins in the past but without fail we have come back to Taylor as the same quality isn't found elsewhere; in truth my operators would rather push a full Taylor bin than an empty one manufactured by some of the competition. When I heard that there was an updated version of the Continental available I was keen to make an early order, the R&D that goes into each bin, and the testing it is put through, means you can trust any product that comes off the Taylor factory line."

As with all Taylor bins, the Mk III Continental is manufactured at the company's dedicated Oak Park facility in full accordance to relevant EN840 standards and WISH guidelines, the benchmark for safe and responsible waste handling in the UK and across Europe. Taylor also provides a maintenance and refurbishment service in line with WISH and EN840 requirements that can keep a bin fleet operating for even longer.
